How would you describe your ministry?
An opportunity to work with Grace staff and teams to provide art, multimedia and technical to serve in worship. There is no way to know just how, when or which of these visuals our Father will use to inspire and help lead someone to Christ in worship. It’s truly awesome to reflect on this.

What inspired you to take on this responsibility?
Before I was a Christian, I “accidentally” (or so I thought) landed in television art direction. From there, publishing and my own graphics business. Years ago after a Grace gifts class, I expressed a desire to offer something in this area. A long time went by with no response, and I felt discouraged. Then one day I was contacted about the need for help in worship visuals. I thought I was taking this on to just help out briefly. I never had a clue until looking back on it that God was putting me in those places to lead me here to help do His work.

What is there about it that gets your motor running?
Seeing how God makes all the parts in a worship service add up to something so much bigger than just what we can bring! Also, coming from an unchurched background, I’m very inspired when I hear of someone unchurched or down on church being first drawn in and touched in any way by the arts used here at Grace. And they come back, and lives are ultimately changed by what God is doing here! I’m then reminded how grateful I am to be a part of this.

What person in your life has been the best example of love?
My aunt. Everything she says and does exemplifies gentleness, the fruit of the Spirit and what James talks about as “quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.”

What person has had the most influence on your life?
A friend and former coworker whose strong and firm and yet gentle and loving example of faith in the workplace helped me in my walk in Christ. She is also the one who told me about Grace.

Who are your heroes?
My daughter’s birth mother, for extreme courage and love to give her baby up for the life she can now have here. And for giving the incredible gift of motherhood to me. Also our Grace family, leaders, staff, and other friends for living lives of love and for continually stepping out in this life in Christ when so much of the world screams to go a different way.

What’s currently in your CD player?
Probably “My First Sing-Along” and nursery songs! When I get to choose: Third Day, Caedmon’s Call, Eric Clapton, U2.

What’s the most exciting (or risky) thing you’ve ever done?
International adoption of and travel to bring home our daughter from Guatemala.

What do you do to unwind and de-stress?
Play with and read up on computer design and arts, exercise, play with my daughter, walk, get outdoors with my family and friends.
