Prayer Support Community
Our desire is to view all we do at Grace Community Church as missions, and to see each member as a missionary.  Our primary mission is to the Asheville-Hendersonville region.  However, we also wish to be involved in God's work throughout the world.

We believe our world-mission vision ought to flow out of our overall vision: visionary, grace-centered, outward focus and contemporary.

Bob & Keren Heppe

The Heppes have been serving in London with World Harvest Mission for the past nine years.  God has given Bob and Keren a special love for the South Asian population which lives in London.  Bob, Keren and the other members of the team spend their days building relationships with Hindus and Muslims.  Through relationships they have seen a church Masih Ghar start to grow to over 50 members.  Bob and Keren recognize that they are recovering Pharisees and are learning to better rest in the Father's love for them.  Please pray for their encouragement as Bob is recovering from Hepatitis and as they seek to reach others with the Good News of Jesus.

Ed Germann

Never in the history of the Church has a generation of Christians had a greater opportunity to reach the world than we in America today.

America hosts the largest number of international students studying at the university level (over 650,000) of any other country. Over 60% of these internationals are from the least-evangelized countries of the world. Many of them desire to make American friends while here and to understand the USA culture. Most return home when they graduate and excel in business, military, science, and education.

As Christians, they can be missionaries in their own homelands. Ed Germann is the Southeast Regional Director of International Students, Inc, a missions organization dedicated to reaching these internationals with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ed directs a staff of missionaries who cast the vision to evangelical churches to be involved in “foreign missions” right in their own homes through friendship with these students and sharing the Gospel through their lives. Ed raises his own support for his mission career and would appreciate your involvement.

Elizabeth Pennock

Elizabeth Pennock has been serving in the former-Yugoslavia with PIONEERS (www.pioneers.org) since 2002.  In November 2006, she relocated from Sarajevo, Bosnia to Montenegro.  In Montenegro, she works with a church-planting team that is working in the coastal area of Boka Kotorska.  There are less than 20 evangelical believers in this large geographic area.  Elizabeth travels around the area encouraging the local believers through discipleship, Bible studies and music.  She also teaches English classes to teenagers and adults at a small English language center that her team operates.

Rachel and Juan Valencia

Currently, we work for Here's Life Inner City and are now living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Life is going well for us. We are enjoying our first year of marriage and we're adjusting to living together and doing ministry together in Wisconsin!

Rachel is the Youth Development Coordinator for Here's Life Milwaukee, and Juan is the Compassionate Products and IT guy. Both of these jobs are pushing us and helping us learn how to work together and rely on God more.
