The elders are committed to shepherding the body of Grace as revealed in scripture. Shepherding is the ministry of knowing, feeding, praying, leading and protecting the body. To accomplish this the elders commissioned a Shepherding Ministry Team. Over the past few months the team has developed a shepherding plan, sought shepherd-leaders to assist the elders, developed a training plan, divided the membership into groups called “parishes” and set dates for implementation.
Shepherding teams have been formed made up of an elder, deacon and Women’s Leadership Team member. Dates for implementing the shepherding plan will be discussed in the future.
Due to the size of our congregation and the limited number of elders, the initial focus of the Session will be on members. If you are a member and have had a change of address, phone number, family status or children, we want to know! Members and attenders are invited to submit a Connect Card with updated information so that we may update our records for you. These updates will allow our Shepherding Ministry Team to better serve the Grace body.
We invite you to explore the blueprint for a Shepherding Ministry for Grace, learn about the heart and posture of a shepherd and practice shepherding conversations. Below is the Shepherding workshop, led by Transitional Pastor, Tony Giles in November 2016.
We invite you to take a moment to send us feedback with this Shepherding Workshop Survey
