Grace's short film -- Smoke Break -- was selected as one of the ten best from the 37 entries submitted to the recent Asheville 48-Hour Film Festival. The film was shown at an awards ceremony Wednesday, July 2.

Zach Blew, who plays the frazzled office worker fighting to quit smoking, was chosen as Best Actor for all films submitted to the Asheville Festival.

Zach Blew Won Best Actor in Asheville Film Festival

A team of more than 20 Grace artists created, produced, edited and submitted the 6-minute comedy during a 48-hour period on the weekend of June 25-27. The 48-hour film project, which moves from city to city nationally, offers filmmakers (or would-be filmmakers), the opportunity to produce a 4- to 7-minute film for competition in various cities. Asheville attracted a comparatively large number of teams – 37 compared to other, much larger, cities. A team from Grace has competed in the festival for the last three years.
